dc.description.abstract | The discreet and swift way in which COVID-19 has spread throughout the world contrasts with the way in which it reproaches humanity for the enormous social inequalities, the dehumanizing management of the economy, or the neglect of life in general under the excuse of dubious and unjust progress. This virus has moved many intellectuals to analyze its incidence and to project a post-pandemic future. Several of them have focused their positions on the threats to freedom, either by totalitarianism resulting from cybervigilance or by the forced implantation of a state of exceptionality. The focus of this article is on the revealing nature of the COVID-19, on its capacity to highlight the dynamics of poverty, exclusion, and social vulnerability that go unnoticed or that we have chosen to ignore in our daily lives. Will the denunciations made by the virus transform the analyses of the intellectual world? | en-GB |
