Inversión en los mercados frontera : oportunidades y riesgos

Abstract

La crisis global en la que las economías internacionales tradicionales se han visto sumergidas desde 2007 ha dirigido la permanente búsqueda de rentabilidad hacia nuevos horizontes inversores. Uno de los principales han sido los denominados mercados frontera, países con gran potencial de desarrollo y escasa correlación con el resto de mercados que se erigen como una opción, tanto de rentabilidad como diversificadora, de primer nivel. Al mismo tiempo, estos mercados presentan acuciantes e importantes riesgos que hay que sopesar. En este trabajo tratamos de analizar la situación de los mencionados mercados, sus principales riesgos y las oportunidades que presentan, para acabar mostrando una propuesta concreta de inversión de renta variable en Nigeria.

The global crisis in which the traditional international economies are submerged since 2007 has focused the permanent search of profitability towards new investor horizons. One of the majors are the so-called frontier markets, countries with a great development potential and low correlation with other markets that stand as a fist-rate profitable and diversifying choice. Coupled with this, these markets have also pressing and important risks that must be weighted. In this work we analyse the situation of those markets, the main risks and opportunities presented, to end up showing a concrete equity-investment proposal in Niger.
