Análisis de modelos estadísticos para la estimación de víctimas de trata. Caso de estudio : Comunidad de Madrid

Abstract

La trata de seres humanos es un delito complejo ya que se existen dificultades para identificar y detectar el verdadero número de víctimas, denominándolas población oculta. Para ello, el objetivo de este estudio es realizar un análisis previo a la estimación de la cifra oculta de víctimas de trata en la Comunidad de Madrid (España). Durante la investigación se han examinado las barreras estructurales que afectan a la fiabilidad de los datos estadísticos. Asimismo, se han analizado las distintas metodologías estadísticas indirectas para poblaciones ocultas, optando por el método de Estimación de Sistemas Múltiples debido a su flexibilidad tanto en el cumplimiento de los supuestos como en el proceso de recolecta de datos.

Trafficking in human beings is a challenging crime since it is difficult to identify and detect the true number of victims, known as hidden population. Therefore, the objective of this study is to carry out a prior analysis to estimate the hidden figure of human trafficking in the Community of Madrid (Spain). During the research, the structural barriers have been considered to gather consistent data. In addition, the indirect statistical methodologies have been analyzed, adopting the Multiple Systems Estimation method. This technique offers flexibility in the fulfilment of the assumptions and in the whole process of obtaining the data.
