La vulnerabilidad en el arte: un recorrido espiritual

Abstract

La vida es frágil, naturalmente. La fragilidad es nuestra condición hu- mana, querámoslo o no. Ahora bien, la fragilidad también puede ser un camino, como demuestra lo que se llama la vulnerabilidad o la “capacidad de ser herido”, es decir, la fragilidad elegida y orientada hacia otra per- sona, umbral donde encontrarnos entre seres heridos. De esta fragilidad convertida en vulnerabilidad trata este libro, que se puede leer como un elogio de la vulnerabilidad: la nuestra y la que elige Dios según la religión cristiana, que propone la vulnerabilidad como camino e, incluso, como religión.

Life is fragile, naturally. Frailty is our human condition, whether we like it or not. Now, fragility can also be a path, as shown by what is called vulnerability or the “capacity to be hurt”, that is, the fragility chosen and oriented towards another person, the threshold where we can find ourselves among wounded beings. This book deals with this fragility turned into vulnerability, which can be read as a praise of vulnerability: ours and the one God chooses according to the Christian religion, which proposes vulnerability as a way and even as a religion.
