"Mirar el mundo con los ojos de Dios: cristianos contemplativos"

Abstract

En este artículo nos interrogamos por la calidad de esta mirada contemplativa, es decir, por el modo de mirar el mundo con los ojos de Dios. La pregunta apunta, por un lado, a la necesidad que sentimos de transformar nuestra sensibilidad: ver, sentir, escuchar, gustar… la realidad como lo haría Jesús mismo, y por otro, invita a “fijar los ojos en Jesús” (Heb 12,2) para aprender de Él a mirar el rostro ajeno, para aproximarse a cada persona en contexto, y atreverse a tocarle, reconociéndole como hermana y hermano, ante quien las entrañas se conmueven y movilizan para transformar la realidad. Para ello, la reflexión hace un recorrido por los evangelios para descubrir la mirada de Jesús sobre las personas, las situaciones que les hacen gozar y sufrir, preguntarse y buscar, solicitar la curación y ejercitarse en el amor. Se aborda cómo es su mirada y qué transformaciones se producen en las personas, fruto de ella.

In this article we ask ourselves about the quality of this contemplative gaze, that is, about the way of looking at the world with God's eyes. The question points, on the one hand, to the need we feel to transform our sensitivity: to see, feel, listen, taste ... reality as Jesus himself would do it, and on the other, it invites us to “fix our eyes on Jesus” (Heb 12, 2) to learn from Him to look at the face of others, to approach each person in context, and dare to touch him, recognizing him as sister and brother, before whom the entrails are moved and mobilized to transform reality. To do this, the reflection makes a journey through the Gospels to discover the gaze of Jesus on people, the situations that make them enjoy and suffer, wonder and seek, request healing and exercise in love. It addresses what his gaze is like and what transformations occur in people as a result of it.
