Análisis y conclusiones sobre el estudio informativo LAV Madrid – Extremadura: tramo Madrid – Oropesa

Abstract

Con la aprobación el 24 de noviembre de 2020 del estudio informativo de la línea ferroviaria de alta velocidad (LAV) Madrid – Extremadura: tramo Madrid – Oropesa, se está un paso más cerca de vertebrar territorialmente y mejorar las relaciones de las principales ciudades extremeñas con la capital. Con este trabajo se pretende plasmar las ventajas de la alta velocidad que justifican la construcción de la línea, analizar los efectos y repercusiones que tendrá en las principales ciudades del corredor, así como analizar las peculiaridades de este. El objetivo final de la LAV Madrid – Extremadura será enlazar con Lisboa, convirtiéndose un corredor internacional que relacione las dos capitales europeas, con la peculiaridad de albergar tráfico mixto y las ventajas e inconvenientes que esto conlleva. Este trabajo se apoya fundamentalmente en el estudio informativo publicado por el Ministerio de Transportes, Movilidad y Agenda Urbana, plasmando los datos más relevantes para poder analizar el impacto de esta, así como valorar la rentabilidad del misma: analizando los tiempos de viaje, demanda y servicios previstos. Intentado anticipar las fortalezas y debilidades del explorador, así como la futura gestión del operador en un corredor que requerirá de la optimización de todos los subsistemas ferroviarios que intervienen, así como de medidas que incentiven e impulsen la movilidad.

With the approval on November 24, 2020 of the informative study of the Madrid - Extremadura high-speed rail line (LAV): Madrid - Oropesa section, we are one step closer to territorially structuring and improving the relations of the main Extremadura cities with the capital.

The aim of this work is to capture the advantages of high speed that justify the construction of the line, analyse the effects and repercussions it will have on the main cities of the corridor, as well as analyse its peculiarities. The final objective of the Madrid - Extremadura HSL will be to link with Lisbon, becoming an international corridor that links the two European capitals, with the peculiarity of hosting mixed traffic and the advantages and disadvantages that this entails.

This work is fundamentally based on the informative study published by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, capturing the most relevant data, being able to analyse its impact, as well as assess its profitability: analysing travel times, demand and services provided. Attempting to anticipate the strengths and weaknesses of the explorer, as well as the future management of the operator in a corridor that will require the optimization of all the railway subsystems involved, as well as measures that encourage and promote mobility.
