Terrorismo ETA : Memoria histórica y verdad como medio para alcanzar la paz

Abstract

Durante cincuenta y dos años en España se vivió una época difícil con la actividad armada del grupo terrorista ETA. Este grupo cometió miles de atentados, dejando cientos de muertos y heridos, afectando a su vez a la convivencia de la sociedad. Tras el cese de la actividad armada, España tuvo que vivir un período de justicia transicional que le permitiese adaptarse a los cambios que generaron estos atentados en la sociedad. Este período es de especial relevancia porque afectó a la transmisión generacional que se produjo sobre las vivencias de aquella época. Una práctica que demostró ayudar en este proceso de transmisión generacional al permitir a las víctimas expresar sus vivencias son los procesos de justicia restaurativa, consistentes en encuentros entre víctima y agresor.

For fifty-two years in Spain there was a difficult time with the armed activity of the terrorist group ETA. This group committed thousands of attacks, leaving hundreds of people dead and injured, in turn affecting the coexistence of society. After the cessation of armed activity, Spain had to go through a period of transitional justice that would allow them to adapt to the changes that these attacks generated in society. This period is of special relevance because it affected the generational transmission that occurred on the experiences of that time. A practice that has proven to help in this process of generational transmission by allowing victims to express their experiences are restorative justice processes, consisting of encounters between the victim and the aggressor.
