El impacto del Big data en la libertad de expresión

Abstract

Actualmente vivimos en un mundo rodeado de tecnologías. Todas las personas tienen acceso a Internet y pueden expresar sus pensamientos, emociones y opiniones a través de la red. Este trabajo expone la evolución de la libertad de expresión a medida que se han ido incorporando técnicas algorítmicas de Big Data en nuestra sociedad. En Internet, todo lo que nos rodea, son mensajes y publicaciones en las que los usuarios expresan sus gustos y opiniones ejerciendo así el derecho fundamental del que son titulares. Por ello, es necesario entender y conocer cómo la gran cantidad de datos que circulan a nuestro alrededor han incidido en la libertad de expresión y los cambios que el Big Data ha supuesto en este derecho fundamental consagrado en la Constitución Española de 1978. Para ello, este trabajo se dedica a explicar la importancia que ha tenido el auge del Big Data en la libertad de expresión, y cómo ha influido en este derecho.

Today we live in a world surrounded by technology. Everyone has access to the Internet and can express their thoughts, emotions and opinions through the network. This paper exposes the evolution of freedom of expression as Big Data algorithmic techniques have been incorporated into our society. On the Internet, everything that surrounds us, are messages and publications in which users express their tastes and opinions, thus exercising the fundamental right they have. Therefore, it is necessary to understand and know how the large amount of data circulating around us has affected freedom of expression and the changes that Big Data has brought about in this fundamental right enshrined in the Spanish Constitution of 1978. To this end, this paper is dedicated to explaining the importance that the rise of Big Data has had on freedom of expression, how it has influenced this right.
