Las aportaciones humanísticas de la Escuela de Salamanca al pensamiento económico de la Revolución 4.0

Abstract

El pensamiento de la ilustre Escuela de Salamanca ha sido pionero en muchos aspectos, aunque no ha llegado a ser tan conocido como otras escuelas coetáneas. Las aportaciones de este grupo de intelectuales formado por académicos jesuitas y dominicos incluyen valiosos razonamientos en los campos de la economía, la física, el derecho, la política y la filosofía moral. La época en la que discurren fue considerada como el Siglo de Oro español y sin duda alguna, su incansable trabajo e investigación formaron parte de tan célebre momento histórico.

Acontecimientos como la conquista de América abrieron las puertas a un nuevo mundo, dando lugar a nuevas etapas y distintas problemáticas. Asimismo, la pandemia del COVID-19 origina una nueva realidad a la que adaptarse con sus consiguientes retos.

El objetivo fundamental de este trabajo es poner en valor el estudio y las aportaciones de la Escuela de Salamanca y plantear una posible aplicación de dichos razonamientos en la actualidad. Para ello se explorarán acontecimientos históricos como la conquista de América y el COVID -19 y se relacionarán con los principios salmantinos.

The thought of the illustrious School of Salamanca has been pioneering in many aspects although it has not become as well-known as other schools of thought. The contributions of this current of thought formed by Jesuit and Dominican intellectuals include valuable contributions in the fields of economics, physics, law, politics, and moral philosophy. The era in which they lived was considered the Spanish Golden Age and without a doubt, their tireless work and research were part of such a famous historical moment.

Events such as the conquest of America opened the doors to a new world, giving rise to new stages and different problems. Likewise, the COVID-19 pandemic originated with a new reality to adapt to, with its consequent challenges.

The main objective of this work is to highlight the value of the study and contributions of the School of Salamanca and to propose a possible application of such reasoning today. To this end, historical events such as the conquest of America and COVID-19 will be explored and related to Salamanca's principles.
