Consolar. Cuando la dimensión social es inherente a un carisma

Abstract

En el contexto del s. XIX, un "siglo de revoluciones", marcadas por la Revolución francesa, eclosiona el carisma de consolar. Y, aunque en ocasiones se ha confinado su identidad a una mera labor de suplencia, lo cierto es que santa María Rosa Molas y las primeras Hermanas de la Consolación llevan hasta las últimas consecuencias los valores de igualdad, fraternidad y libertad que, con tanta demagogia y tan a la ligera, se abanderan desde otras instancias. Ellas son una tesela más del increíble mosaico de una Iglesia-Samaritana cuyas riendas de caridad asumen en buena parte mujeres heroicas y audaces que fecundaron con su testimonio el s. XIX y nos legaron entre otras cosas la inserción de la mujer en el ámbito público y laboral, su derecho a formación y con ello a contribuir a la construcción de la sociedad y de la Iglesia. Esta es su increíble historia.

In the context of the nineteenth century, a "century of revolutions", marked by the French Revolution, hatches the charism of comfort. And, although their identity has sometimes been confined to a mere work of substitution, the truth is that Saint Mary Rosa Molas and the first Sisters of Consolation carry to the last consequences the values of equality, fraternity and freedom that, with so much demagogy and so lightly, are championed from other instances.They are one more tessellation of the incredible mosaic of a Samaritan Church whose reins of charity are largely assumed by heroic and daring women who fertilized with their witness the nineteenth century and bequeathed to us, among other things, the insertion of women in the public and labor sphere, their right to formation and thereby to contribute to the construction of society and the Church.
