Pensamiento Dogmático: Violencia y Polarización Ideológica

Abstract

En el presente capítulo se habla de los antecedentes históricos del pensamiento dogmático para luego analizar la expresión de Haidt y Lukianoff "nosotros contra ellos" como base del pensamiento dogmático. Asimismo, se reflexiona en torno a la dualidad izquierdas contra derechas en política y la pérdida del sentido del bien común. Se subraya el papel de las redes sociales en el sostenimiento de este modo de pensar y el papel que la propia pandemia ha tenido en la cristalización del pensamiento dogmático. Por último, se proponen algunos itinerarios y actividades para disminuir el dogmatismo.

This chapter discusses the historical background of dogmatic thought and then analyzes Haidt and Lukianoff's expression "us against them" as the basis of dogmatic thought. Likewise, it reflects on the left versus right duality in politics and the loss of the sense of the common good. The role of social networks in sustaining this way of thinking and the role that the pandemic itself has had in the crystallization of dogmatic thinking are underlined. Finally, some itineraries and activities are proposed to reduce dogmatism.
