The asynchronous machine is the electric machine most widely used in the industry. It is not expensive, and it is easily speed regulated by its source frequency. That is the reason why many machines and tools are equipped with these kind of motors in a wide range of working posts of many different industries. For example, tools like winding machines, conveyor belts, pumping machines, cutting machines, milling cutters, drills and lathes will use them. The problem of this motor comes from the need of the triphase currency to make it work. There may be industries where there has been a change of the counters from triphase to single-phase counters, or where they just want to re-use a non-used existent machine that is already owned. It is a problem that any engineer may have to face in order not to incur in unnecessary expenses. With this project we will manage to use the triphase motors supplied with a single-phase source with reasonable performances. The project will consist in finding the way to make the triphase machine work with a single-phase source, modelling it with the software Matlab/Simulink and to find the best value for the capacitor used for the studied machine. The project will be composed by two parts: The study of the asynchronous machine and the study of the asynchronous triphase machine supplied by a single-phase source. To make a systematic study of the problem, both parts will be divided in three mean points: 1. Establish the equations that take part in the proper functioning of the system. 2. Modelling of these equations in the Matlab software 3. Simulation of the results To conclude, the project will end with a comparative study of the results of both simulations to be able to deduce conclusions and possible improvements. To make the supply with the single-phase source a specific connexion is needed. This connexion will be also expressed in the electrical equations describing the system. This full equations system will describe the functioning of the machine and will be modelled with the software Simulink for the ulterior simulation and extraction of results. The ensemble of equations that are studied, modified, and modelled that describes the functioning of the machine are the dynamic equations that rules the movement of the machine with the fundamental equation of the dynamics, the electric equations of the connexion and the machine, the flux equations, and the mathematic tool used to manipulate and lighten the resolution of the system, the Park transformation. After the study and the theoretical conception of the system we will use the software Matlab/Simulink as we had already told. The objective is to conceive an appropriated and functional model of the two machines, the triphase asynchronous machine and the triphase asynchronous machine supplied with a single-phase source. With this model and with a correct parameterisation of our studied machine we will be able to produce graphs of the different parameters of the functioning of the machine such as speed, Joule dissipation, performance, currencies, fluxes, couples etc. With the data obtained from the simulations we will proceed to a comparative study to deduce conclusions about this functioning method proposed, its advantages and its limitations.es_ES
