El Estado de Derecho de Baruch Spinoza

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo ilustrar cuál era la filosofía política de Baruch Spinoza, realizando un análisis a su literatura para poder entender y comprender cómo era el Estado de Derecho que describía en sus obras. De esta manera, la idea principal es entender cuáles fueron sus influencias a lo largo de su vida para obtener un conocimiento más completo de su filosofía y el qué hay detrás de sus ideas. No obstante, aunque el objetivo de la tesis se centre en analizar el Estado de Derecho de Baruch Spinoza, se hace un recorrido entero a su filosofía moral, ya que es imposible entender las ideas políticas de Spinoza sin primero indagar en el resto de sus ideales vitales y morales, ya que a raíz de estas construye su filosofía política, además de que se entiende mejor. Así, no solo se explica cómo funciona y cuál es su idea de organización estatal, sino que se explican cosas fundamentales de su filosofía como el monismo, la dualidad entre religión o Estado o la importancia de la libertad y la razón en los seres humanos. De esta manera, se cumple el objetivo propuesto de tener una visión global y completa de cuál es el Estado de Derecho de Baruch Spinoza y cuáles son las ideas que han trascendido y encontramos hoy en día en la política moderna.

The aim of this paper is to illustrate what Baruch Spinoza's political philosophy was by analysing his literature in order to understand and comprehend what the rule of law he described in his works was like. In this way, the main idea is to understand what his influences were throughout his life to obtain a more complete knowledge of his philosophy and what lies behind his ideas. However, although the aim of the thesis is focused on analysing Baruch Spinoza's Rule of Law, a whole journey is made to his moral philosophy, since it is impossible to understand Spinoza's political ideas without first investigating the rest of his vital and moral ideals, since it is from these that he builds his political philosophy, as well as it is better understood. Thus, not only is it explained how he functions and what his idea of state organisation is, but also fundamental aspects of his philosophy such as monism, the duality between religion and state or the importance of freedom and reason in human beings. In this way, the proposed objective of having a global and complete vision of what Baruch Spinoza's Rule of Law is and which are the ideas that have transcended and are found today in modern politics is fulfilled.
