Se estudia la relación de la Compañía de Jesús (1540-1773) con el arte militar (capellanía, diplomacia, matemáticas, enseñanza militar y experiencia de ingeniería in situ), con especial atención a la enseñanza militar en el Colegio Imperial de Madrid.
