Abstract

Este texto aborda las perspectivas culturales que son deseables como horizonte para un sistema penal civilizado detinado a la consecución de la paz y la reconciliación, propia y colectiva. La condición de posibilidad para ello es la evolución cultural de los ciudadanos. incrementando su educación o erudición en el ámbito penal. También un trabajo institucional desplegado en conciencia, por quienes están al frente de las instituciones penales, con un respeto escrupuloso a la ley, a los Derechos Humanos y a la dimensión existencial de quien tiene enfrente.

This text addresses the cultural perspectives that are desirable as a horizon for a civilized penal system aimed at achieving individual and collective peace and reconciliation. The condition for this possibility is the cultural evolution of citizens, increasing their education or erudition in the penal field. It also requires institutional work deployed with consciousness by those who are in charge of penal institutions, with a scrupulous respect for the law, human rights, and the existential dimension of those who are facing the system.
