Por un lado, se contextualiza la situación del sector en España, teniendo en cuenta la relevancia que el lobby ha tenido en Estados Unidos y en la Unión Europea. Por otro lado, se estudian los pasos alcanzados para una futura regulación de los Asuntos Públicos en España, atendiendo los posibles beneficios que esta tendría para fomentar un sistema político más democrático y transparente. Por último, se investiga sobre la figura del profesional de los Asuntos Públicos en la industria farmacéutica, teniendo presente el auge de los departamentos de Market Access y Relaciones Institucionales, especialmente tras el COVID-19. This Final Degree Thesis deals with the regulation of Public Affairs in Spain, paying special attention to the work carried out by the pharmaceutical industry when it comes to influencing public-private decision-making. On the one hand, the situation of the sector in Spain is contextualised, considering the relevance that lobby has had in the United States and the European Union. On the other hand, the steps taken towards a future regulation of Public Affairs in Spain are studied, taking into account the possible benefits that this would have for promoting a more democratic and transparent political system.
