La gestión de la crisis migratoria del mediterráneo: el enfoque de España y de la Unión Europea

Abstract

Para poder afrontar el reto de la migración es necesario ahondar en el tema y descubrir cuáles son las principales causas y consecuencias de la misma. En este caso, cuáles son las causas que hacen que hacen que el Mediterráneo sea un lugar con tanto tránsito migratorio. Todos los actores son importantes, desde los países desde los que se emigra, hasta los países receptores pasando por los propios migrantes. Por otra parte, las medidas con las que responden los países receptores ante oleadas de migración que deben saber gestionar para garantizar los derechos tanto de los migrantes que llegan a sus fronteras, como de los propios ciudadanos de su país. Presenta un reto enorme para las autoridades políticas donde la cooperación entre países se presenta como un elemento clave para poder alcanzar soluciones.

In order to face the challenge of migration, it is necessary to delve deeper into the subject and discover its main causes and consequences. In this case, what are the causes that make the Mediterranean a place with so much migratory transit. All the actors are important, from the countries from which migrants emigrate to the receiving countries, as well as the migrants themselves. On the other hand, the measures with which the receiving countries respond to waves of migration that they must know how to manage in order to guarantee the rights of both the migrants arriving at their borders and the citizens of their own country. This presents an enormous challenge for political authorities, where cooperation between countries is a key element in achieving solutions.
