Abstract

El Mediterráneo ha sido desde el siglo XVIII y la creación del Grand Tour el destino vital de una pléyade de inconformistas que, huyendo del frío y de la oscuridad y de la fatigue du Nord, descubrieron la luz, el sol, la sal, las aguas del Mediterráneo y las tierras en las que vivieron los dioses y se relacionaron promiscuamente con griegos y romanos.

Since the 18th century and the creation of the Grand Tour, the Mediterranean has been the essential destination for a multitude of nonconformists who, fleeing the cold, darkness, and the fatigue du Nord, discovered the light, the sun, the salt, the waters of the Mediterranean, and the lands where the gods once lived and mingled promiscuously with Greeks and Romans.
