Identidad y relación. Fe trinitaria, realidad social y pluralismo religioso

Abstract

La identidad cristiana se concentra en la fe trinitaria, mostrando que la identidad propia no puede ser entendida si no es desde la relación. Dios es relación y la identidad de cada una de las personas divinas se constituye a través de la relación esencial entre ellas. Esta fe trinitaria incide en la comprensión de la realidad social no de forma directa (teología política), sino inspirando la acción moral del hombre, quien ha de configurar la forma política de convivencia. Esta fe trinitaria afirma igualmente la unidad y la pluralidad en Dios aportando una luz singular a una cuestión que ha preocupado al ser humano desde los orígenes de la filosofía. El monoteísmo trinitario tiene también unas claras implicaciones en el diálogo interreligioso y en el diálogo con la crítica de la religión de la modernidad, especialmente por la vinculación de la fe monoteísta a la violencia. Sin embargo, este monoteísmo trinitario, que es capaz de integrar en él la pluralidad y la diversidad, no solo no debe engendrar la violencia de los creyentes, sino que ha de convertirse en un obstáculo último contra toda forma de totalitarismo y fuente de respeto del otro en cuanto distinto y diferente

Christian identity focuses on Trinitarian faith, showing that one's own identity cannot be understood if not from relation. God is relation, and the identity of each of the divine persons is constituted through the essential relationship between them. This Trinitarian faith impacts the understanding of social reality not directly (political theology), but by inspiring the moral action of humans, who must shape the political form of coexistence. This Trinitarian faith equally affirms unity and plurality in God, providing a unique light to a question that has concerned humans since the origins of philosophy. Trinitarian monotheism also has clear implications in interreligious dialogue and in dialogue with the critique of modernity's religion, especially due to the link between monotheistic faith and violence. However, this Trinitarian monotheism, capable of integrating plurality and diversity, should not only avoid generating believers' violence but also become a final barrier against all forms of totalitarianism and a source of respect for the other as distinct and different.
