El conflicto ruso-ucraniano desde la perspectiva del Derecho internacional: la responsabilidad internacional.

Abstract

En este trabajo analizaré el conflicto Ruso- Ucraniano, desde el año 2014 hasta marzo de 2024, enfocado en las implicaciones legales del derecho internacional y la responsabilidad internacional.

Al estudiar eventos claves como la anexión de Crimea y la agresión del Donbás, se han analizado acciones que desafían principios de derecho internacional, como la soberanía, la autodeterminación de los pueblos, a la vez que pone en relieve la compleja relación entre intereses geopolíticos y normas jurídicas internacionales. La capacidad de la comunidad internacional para poder intervenir y prevenir futuras atrocidades se ve restringida por las estructuras de poder global, especialmente por el uso del veto en el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU por parte de Rusia.

Se concluye de este conflicto, la urgente necesidad de fortalecer el sistema de derecho internacional, para garantizar la justicia y protección de derechos humanos en el orden mundial.

In this paper I will analyze the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, from 2014 to march of 2024 focusing on the legal implications of international law and international responsibility.

By studying key events such as the annexation of Crimea and the aggression of the Donbas, I will focus on actions that challenge principles of international law, such as sovereignty, self-determination, while highlighting the complex relationship between geopolitical interests and international legal norms. The ability of the international community to be able to intervene and prevent future atrocities is constrained by global power structures, especially by Russia's use of the veto in the UN Security Council.

The conclusion from this conflict is the urgent need to strengthen the system of international law to ensure justice and protection of human rights in the world order.
