Abuso sexual en la infancia y el posterior desarrollo de un trastorno alimentario

Abstract

El abuso sexual infantil es una situación devastadora, de la que se está empezando hablar cada vez más, pero aún no lo suficiente. Esta situación traumática puede y suele acarrear una serie de consecuencias para el menor innumerables; este trabajo intenta acercarse y describirlas lo mejor posible. En específico la relación que se encuentra entre haber sufrido este tipo de abusos y presentar un trastorno alimentario más adelante en el desarrollo. Es el objetivo de este estudio bibliográfico analizar el abuso sexual infantil y los trastornos alimentarios por separado para luego poder unirlos con la esperanza de conseguir una guía sobre la que trabajar con estas personas que han sido tan dañadas. Lo que se intenta es no olvidar en ningún momento el factor humano, se habla de una persona, de un menor, que necesita a adultos que le proporcionen una seguridad que le ha sido tan injustamente arrebatada. Una de las preguntas fundamentales del trabajo es ¿cómo la reacción del entorno del niño afecta a la integración o no integración de esa vivencia?, numerosos autores darán luz sobre estos asuntos. Para poder acabar reflexionando sobre cómo la Psicología junto a otras profesiones pueden avanzar para poder ayudar cada vez más y mejor.

Child sexual abuse is a devastating situation, which is increasingly being more talked about, but still not enough. This traumatic situation can and often does entail a series of consequences for the child that are numberless; this essay attempts to approach and describe them as best as possible. Specifically the relationship found between having suffered this type of abuse and presenting an eating disorder later in their development. It is the aim of this study to analyze child sexual abuse and eating disorders separately; and then link them in the hope of getting a guide on which to work with these people who have been so damaged. Throughout the paper it is essential to not forget at any time the human factor, we are talking about a person, a child, who needs adults to provide a security that has been so unfairly taken away. One of the fundamental questions of the work is how the reaction of the child's environment affects the integration or non-integration of this experience, and many authors will shed light on these issues. In order to finish reflecting on how, psychology together with other professions, can advance to help more and better these survivors.
