Abstract

La enfermería quirúrgica de cirugía vascular va evolucionando al mismo tiempo que las técnicas van avanzando, por ello es fundamental una formación continuada que permita actualizar los conocimientos en anatomía, fisiología y patología vascular. Dentro del capítulo el profesional podrá encontrar los procedimientos más habituales de cirugía vascular periférica, tanto de tipo arterial como venoso. Se hará especial hincapié en la cirugía endovascular, ya que es una técnica mínimamente invasiva que está en auge desde hace unos años. El personal de quirófano y, por ello el personal de cirugía vascular, tiene como premisa disminuir en la medida de los posible los tiempos quirúrgicos y reducir el tiempo de isquemia en los diferentes procedimientos. Este capítulo pretende clasificar conceptos y técnicas que hagan que la labor de enfermera/o sea más eficaz y eficiente.

Surgical nursing in vascular surgery is evolving at the same time as the techniques are advancing, therefore it is essential to have a continuous training that allows updating knowledge in anatomy, physiology and vascular pathology. In this chapter the professional will find the most common procedures of peripheral vascular surgery, both arterial and venous. Special emphasis will be placed on endovascular surgery, since it is a minimally invasive technique that has been on the rise in recent years. The operating room staff and, therefore, the vascular surgery staff, have as a premise to reduce as much as possible the surgical times and reduce the ischemia time in the different procedures. This chapter aims to classify concepts and techniques that make the nurse's work more effective and efficient.
