La relación del Padre y el Hijo en Orígenes (Comentario al Evangelio de Juan) Una reciprocidad asimétrica

Abstract

Orígenes, en su Comentario al Evangelio de Juan, recoge –desde la categoría medio-platónica de la contemplación– la coeternidad del Padre y del Hijo, en su peculiar modo de mostrar el carácter correlativo de la paternidad y de la filiación. Si en todo momento mantenemos la reciprocidad e interdependencia entre el Padre y el Hijo, en este artículo pretendemos ahondar en la unidad del Padre y el Hijo desde la generación eterna, que mantiene al Padre siempre engendrando al Hijo y al Hijo siempre siendo engendrado por el Padre. La contemplación resulta re-interpretada por Orígenes desde la generación-relación y el ser del Hijo configurado como asentimiento al querer del Padre, principio manante y donador originario: El Hijo es Hijo en tanto que existe, eternamente referido, hacia el Padre. Esta relación de reciprocidad asimétrica se convierte en el postulado de la fuente de unidad entre ambos.

Origen, in his Commentary on the Gospel of John, collects –from the mid-Platonic category of contemplation – the coeternity of the Father and the Son, in his peculiar way of showing the correlative character of fatherhood and filiation. If at all times we maintain reciprocity and interdependence between the Father and the Son, in this article we intend to delve into the unity of the Father and the Son from eternal generation, which keeps the Father always be getting the Son and the Son always being begotten by the Father. The resulting contemplation reinterpreted by Origen from the generation relationship and the being of the Son configured as an assent to the will of the Father, the original donor principle: The Son is the Son as long as there is, eternally referred, towards the Father. This relationship of asymmetric reciprocity will become the postulate of the source of unity between both.
