El discernimiento moral en el marco de la exhortación Amoris laetitia

Abstract

En el marco de la exhortación Amoris laetitia hemos situado el argumento central de la tesis: el discernimiento moral. Un tema, sin duda, muy estudiado desde la vertiente espiritual y pastoral, pero apenas tratado desde la dimensión moral. La invitación del papa Francisco a toda la Iglesia, a situar el discernimiento en el centro de la moral cristiana y a adoptarlo como el mejor instrumento para resolver los problemas morales actuales constituye sin duda un paso decisivo en la historia de la moral. Creemos que una nueva perspectiva se está abriendo para la Teología moral, estamos, sin duda, ante un nuevo paradigma que apunta a la integración del discernimiento con la certeza de que la Teología moral del futuro ya no podrá prescindir de él. Nuestra tesis parte de esta convicción, su propuesta es reactualizar el discernimiento sacando a la luz las potencialidades y beneficios para la persona, para la vida cristiana y para el mundo en general. Los cambios sociales y culturales operados en las últimas décadas plantean difíciles e inquietantes preguntas que no pueden resolverse con respuestas simples o remitiendo únicamente a la ley. El discernimiento cristiano iluminado por la fe que integra todas las dimensiones de la persona y que toma en cuenta la realidad concreta en la que estas viven, constituye sin duda una herramienta esencial para desarrollar esa tarea y crecer como personas, como creyentes y como ciudadanos de este mundo.

Within the framework of the exhortation Amoris laetitia we have placed the central argument of the tesis: moral discernment. A topic, without a doubt, much studied from the spiritual and pastoral perspective, but hardlye treated from the moral dimensión. Pope Francis’ invitation to the entire Church to place discernment at the center of Christian moralety and to adopt it as the best instrument to resolve current moral problems constitutes without a doub a decisive step in the history of morality. We believe that a new perspective is opening up for Moral Theology; we are, without a doubt, facing a new paradigm that points to the integration of discernment with the certainty that the Moral Theology of the future will no longer be able to do without it. Our thesis is based on this conviction, its proposal is to update discernment by bringing to light its potential and its benefits for the person, for the Christian life and for the world in general. The social and cultural changes that have occurred in recent decades raise difficult and disturbing questions that cannot be resolved with simple answers or by referring solely to the law. Christian discernment illuminated by faith that integrates all the dimensions of the person and that takes into account the concrete reality in which they live, constitutes without a doubt an esential tool to develop this task and grow as people, as people, as believers and as citizens of this world.
