. Network neuroscience is an emerging field that studies the organisation and interactions of functional and anatomical connections in the brain using network analysis methods. It utilises graph theory to analyse brain networks, which can provide valuable insights into the structural and functional mechanisms of the brain. By mapping the connections of the human brain as a network, network neuroscience offers a powerful paradigm for understanding complex neurobiological systems. This field has the potential to inform quantitative theories of the brain and behaviour and has applications in various domains such as neuroscience research, clinical disorder therapy, and the development of biomarkers in psychiatry. However, the complexity of network neuroscience methods requires careful consideration and understanding of the underlying mathematical frameworks and tools. This Chapter contains a comprehensive introduction to network neuroscience and its application to analyse different neurodegenerative diseases.
