Construyendo espacios eclesiales libres de abusos

Abstract

.Este número de la revista Estudios Eclesiásticos aborda el abuso de poder en entornos eclesiales. Un equipo interdisciplinar de universidades jesuitas de España investiga las causas estructurales de estos abusos para avanzar teológicamente y fomentar espacios libres de abusos. El Proyecto Jordán analiza casos diversos, incluyendo abusos sexuales y de autoridad, afectando a niños, adultos consagrados y laicos. Se revisan categorías y narrativas teológicas, psicológicas y jurídicas, con el objetivo de proponer enfoques sanadores. Además, el texto subraya la importancia de la justicia restaurativa centrada en las víctimas y destaca la necesidad de escuchar y apoyar a las víctimas de abuso.

This issue of the journal Estudios Eclesiásticos addresses the abuse of power in ecclesial settings. An interdisciplinary team from Jesuit universities in Spain investigates the structural causes of these abuses to advance theological understanding and foster abuse-free environments. The Jordán Project analyzes various cases, including sexual and authority abuses, affecting children, consecrated adults, and laypeople. The study revisits theological, psychological, and legal categories and narratives, aiming to propose healing approaches. Additionally, the text emphasizes the importance of restorative justice centered on victims and highlights the need to listen to and support victims of abuse.
