Una nueva esperanza. Volver a ilusionarnos con la transmisión de la fe

Abstract

Ante el desánimo que producen los retos actuales para la transmisión de la fe —como la secularización, la complejidad propia del tema, la disparidad de criterios o la falta de espacios para detenerse a plantear soluciones creativas— proponemos comenzar por ilusionarnos de nuevo volviendo al corazón de la fe. En esta contribución compartimos las claves teológicas y espirituales que nos llevaron a plantear un acercamiento a esta cuestión hoy e indicar cómo, inspirado en ellas, se inició un camino de discernimiento conjunto en la Provincia de la Compañía de Jesús en España. En síntesis, se trata de comenzar saneando nuestro ser creyente, para replantear nuestro estar en el mundo con otros y solo después de este proceso ahondar en el hacer concreto que nos puede llevar a transmitir mejor la fe hoy. La intuición básica que guía nuestra reflexión es que Dios es quien nos hace verdaderamente creativos desde el horizonte del Evangelio y que por ello volver siempre a él es lo que nos lanzará más y mejor al mundo.

Given the discouragement produced by the current challenges for the transmission of faith —such as secularization, the complexity of the topic itself, the disparity of criteria or the lack of spaces to stop and propose creative solutions— the proposal is to start by returning to the heart of faith so that we can get excited again. In this contribution we share the theological and spiritual keys that led us to approach this issue today and we also indicate how they inspired a path of communitarian discernment in the Province of the Society of Jesus in Spain. In short, the idea is to begin by healing our inner being as believers, so that we can rethink our being in the world with others and only after this process delve into the concrete actions that can lead us to better transmit the faith today. The basic intuition that guides our reflection is that God is the one who makes us truly creative from the horizon of the Gospel and that therefore returning always to him is what will launch us more and better into the world.
