Abstract

Presentamos una nueva edición (la séptima) de la obra IVRIS PRVDENTIA, aumentada y corregida, con la inclusión de nuevos temas y cuestionarios que permitan asentar los conocimientos adquiridos tras el estudio de los mismos. Los autores de la presente obra, profesores de derecho romano en la Universidad de Córdoba y en la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), están firmemente convencidos de que los alumnos que se forman en el ars boni et aequi siguiendo las fuentes romanísticas pueden y deben aprender, hoy como ayer, aquellas técnicas y conceptos, lenguaje y praxis jurídica necesarios para ensamblarse como los futuros juristas del mañana. El abogado del futuro debe estar firmemente formado en derecho romano. Es con este objetivo con el que ofertamos al lector esta sencilla obra, que alcanza su séptima edición, con la confianza de que podrá ser un instrumento útil para todos los estudiantes, así como para todo profesional del Derecho -e incluso para legos en la materia- que quiera volver a las fuentes clásicas, en búsqueda de una verdadera memoria histórica, para beber, una vez más, de este gran hontanar de sabiduría jurídica que es el derecho romano.

We present a new edition (the seventh) of the work IVRIS PRVDENTIA, expanded and revised, with the inclusion of new topics and questionnaires to solidify the knowledge acquired after studying them. The authors of this work, professors of Roman law at the University of Córdoba and at the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE), are firmly convinced that students trained in ars boni et aequi by following Roman sources can and should learn, today as in the past, the techniques, concepts, language, and legal practices necessary to shape them into the future jurists of tomorrow. The lawyer of the future must be firmly grounded in Roman law. It is with this goal that we offer the reader this simple work, now in its seventh edition, with the hope that it will be a useful tool for all students, as well as for any legal professional—or even for laypeople—who wish to return to the classical sources in search of true historical memory, to once again drink from this great fountain of legal wisdom that is Roman law.
