TRABAJO SOCIAL, MOVIMIENTOS SOCIALES Y DERECHO A LA VIVIENDA

Abstract

El acceso a una vivienda digna se ha convertido en un problema social de primer orden en el contexto actual. Este Trabajo Fin de Grado analiza la relación existente entre el Trabajo Social, los movimientos sociales y el derecho a la vivienda en el marco de la crisis habitacional en España. A través de entrevistas a personas afectadas por la crisis habitacional, profesionales del ámbito social y activistas, se examina cómo actúan dichos actores en situaciones de emergencia habitacional, cuáles son sus visiones sobre dicha situación y cuáles son sus estrategias de afrontamiento.

La investigación adopta un enfoque cualitativo que permite recoger testimonios directos y conocer las experiencias vividas por quienes enfrentan procesos de desahucio, infravivienda o dificultades para acceder a un hogar. El estudio pone de relieve las tensiones existentes entre la intervención institucional y la acción colectiva, así como los límites y potencialidades del Trabajo Social como herramienta de transformación social.

Se concluye con propuestas orientadas a una intervención más crítica, comunitaria y comprometida con la defensa del derecho a la vivienda.

Access to adequate housing has become a major social issue in the current context. This Final Degree Project analyzes the relationship between Social Work, social movements, and the right to housing within the framework of the housing crisis in Spain. Through interviews with individuals affected by the housing crisis, professionals from the social field, and activists, it examines how these actors respond in housing emergencies, what their views on the situation are, and what coping strategies they develop.

The research adopts a qualitative approach that allows for the collection of direct testimonies and a deeper understanding of the experiences lived by those facing eviction processes, substandard housing, or difficulties accessing a home. The study highlights the tensions between institutional intervention and collective action, as well as the limits and potential of Social Work as a tool for social transformation.

The paper concludes with proposals aimed at promoting a more critical, community-based, and committed approach to defending the right to housing.
