La integración de los menores inmigrantes en centros educativos con especial atención a la adolescencia.

Abstract

En un contexto de creciente diversidad cultural en las aulas, la integración de los adolescentes inmigrantes se ha convertido en uno de los principales desafíos y oportunidades del sistema educativo actual. El objetivo principal de este estudio es analizar la adaptación escolar de adolescentes inmigrantes en centros educativos de España. Para ello, se presta una especial atención a los factores que favorecen o dificultan su integración académica, social y emocional. A través de una metodología cualitativa, incluyendo una revisión bibliográfica y entrevistas semiestructuradas, se examina la perspectiva de diferentes profesionales que tienen contacto con estos alumnos, con el objetivo de comprender cómo es esta adaptación y cómo se gestiona desde los diferentes centros educativos. Se resaltan aspectos clave como el dominio del idioma, el acompañamiento familiar y las relaciones interpersonales dentro del aula en la adaptación de los adolescentes inmigrantes. Además, se identifican barreras estructurales (como la falta de recursos o la escasa formación especializada de los docentes) que dificultan una integración, pero también se destacan experiencias positivas desarrolladas por los propios adolescentes. De esta manera, se plantea la importancia de fomentar una mayor implicación de las familias inmigrantes en la vida escolar y de fortalecer la formación del profesorado en competencias interculturales. Esta investigación contribuye así a ampliar la comprensión sobre la realidad de estos estudiantes y propone claves para avanzar hacia una escuela más justa, inclusiva y comprometida con la equidad social.

In a context of growing cultural diversity in the classroom, the integration of immigrant adolescents has become one of the main challenges and opportunities of the current educational system. The main objective of this study is to analyze the school adaptation of immigrant adolescents in educational centers in Spain. For this purpose, special attention is paid to the factors that favor or hinder their academic, social and emotional integration. Through a qualitative methodology, including a literature review and semi-structured interviews, we examine the perspective of different professionals who have contact with these students, with the aim of understanding what this adaptation is like and how it is managed from the different educational centers. Key aspects such as language proficiency, family support and interpersonal relationships within the classroom are highlighted in the adaptation of immigrant adolescents. In addition, structural barriers are identified (such as the lack of resources or the scarce specialized training of teachers) that hinder integration, but positive experiences developed by the adolescents themselves are also highlighted. In this way, the importance of promoting greater involvement of immigrant families in school life and strengthening teacher training in intercultural competencies is raised. This research thus contributes to broaden the understanding of the reality of these students and proposes keys to move towards a fairer, more inclusive school committed to social equity.
