Los conocimientos de los profesionales sanitarios sobre el Comité de Ética Asistencial, las voluntades anticipadas y la Ley de Eutanasia en un hospital de nivel III

Abstract

El Comité de Ética Asistencial (CEA) es un órgano consultivo interdisciplinar y autónomo, al servicio de profesionales y usuarios de los centros sanitarios, constituido para analizar y asesorar en la resolución de conflictos éticos que surjan por la labor asistencial. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar qué conocimientos tienen los profesionales sanitarios sobre diferentes aspectos de la ética asistencial para realizar un diagnóstico inicial en el Hospital Universitario Son Espases (HUSE). Material y métodos. Se trata de un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño observacional descriptivo y transversal. Los participantes serán los profesionales sanitarios del HUSE: enfermeros/as,médicos/as, fisioterapeutas, terapeutas ocupacionales, nutricionistas/dietitas, técnicos/as en cuidados auxiliares de enfermería (TCAEs).La recogida de datos se llevará a cabo a través de ‘mailing’ al correo corporativo con un enlace a la herramienta Microsoft Forms 365®. Estaherramienta integrará un cuestionario ad hoc con un conjunto de preguntas sobre qué conocimientos tienen y uso hacen sobre el Comité de Ética Asistencial del HUSE, qué conocimientos tienes sobre las voluntades anticipadas y la Ley de Eutanasia. Resultados y conclusiones. Los resultados obtenidos serán una información útil y valiosa para desarrollar estrategias para la formación sobre estos aspectos, ofrecer información sobre la misión, propósitos y objetivos del CEA, facilitar la accesibilidad a las consultas con el CEA, establecer formas efectivas de comunicación con el CEA mediante la intranet y web del HUSE y mediante el consultor en ética

The Healthcare Ethics Committee (CEA) is an interdisciplinary and autonomous advisory body serving healthcare professionals and users. It was established to analyze and advise on the resolution of ethical conflicts arising from healthcare work. This research aims to evaluate the knowledge of healthcare professionals regarding different aspects of healthcare ethics in order to make an initial diagnosis at Son Espases University Hospital (HUSE). Materials and methods: This is a quantitative study with a descriptive, cross-sectional, observational design. Participants will be healthcare professionals at HUSE: nurses, physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists/dieticians, and auxiliary nursing care technicians (TCAEs). Data collection will be conducted via email to the corporate email address with a link to the Microsoft Forms 365® tool. This tool will include an ad hoc questionnaire with a set of questions about their knowledge and use of the HUSE Healthcare Ethics Committee, their knowledge of advance directives, and the Euthanasia Law. Results and conclusions. The results obtained will provide useful and valuable information for developing training strategies on these topics, providing information on the mission, purposes, and objectives of the CEA, facilitating access to consultations with the CEA, and establishing effective forms of communication with the CEA through the HUSE intranet and website and through the ethics consultant.
