Abstract

This paper presents the results of the implementation of an optimal control system for closed metro lines in an integrated control centre. The system has been successfully working for more than one year in metro lines of Barcelona and Madrid, achieving sensible improvements in regulation and energy saving. Additional features of the system as a monitoring, operations and management tool are also presented
