Abstract
La investigación clínica es cada vez más importante en nuestro mundo. Se trata de prevenir, curar o aliviar enfermedades, mediante la fabricación de medicamentos. En este trabajo se analiza la regulación que de este proceso se ha hecho tanto a nivel comunitario, como a nivel nacional. Se ha llevado a cabo un análisis normativo de las diferentes políticas públicas que ha querido garantizar un contexto de protección para aquellas personas que participen en un ensayo clínico. Por otro lado, también se hace referencia a aquellas personas que tienen limitada su autonomía, ya sean menores o personas con discapacidad, teniendo que ser informados de la manera que es debida. Se divide el trabajo en dos capítulos, el primero se trata de un capítulo que contextualiza al lector en la materia. Y en segundo lugar, un capítulo que establece una serie de desafíos al modelo diseñado. Ambos dan lugar a unas conclusiones que dejan a la luz cuestiones que deberían de regularse para mantener esa protección al paciente que se busca o bien alternativas a lo ya regulado Clinical research is becoming increasingly important in our world.
