Ante los retos a la cristología de parte de la actual cultura plural

Abstract

La actual cultura plural obliga a prestar atención a diversos factores en la presentación de la fe en Jesucristo: dar razón del puesto de la fe y la Iglesia en el conocimiento de Jesucristo; del carácter absoluto de Jesucristo, ligado a la encarnación; de su capacidad de generar verdadera espiritualidad y de su potencia salvadora. Estos retos suponen posibilidades, a la vez que espolean a profundizar en todos los veneros más auténticos de la misma cristología. Entre ellos, no puede faltar la conexión con la ontología trinitaria, que determina el valor sustantivo de la historia de Jesús; a la vez que la historia de Jesús clarifica el sentido de los conceptos ontológicos

The present plural culture forces attention to various factors in the presentation of faith in Jesus Christ: to give reason of the position of faith and the Church in the knowledge of Jesus Christ; of the absolute character of Jesus Christ, linked to the incarnation; of its capacity to generate true spirituality and its saving power. These challenges imply possibilities, while spurring us to delve into all the most authentic aspects of Christology itself. Among them, the connection with the Trinitarian ontology, which determines the substantive value of the history of Jesus, can not be lacking. At the same time the history of Jesus clarifies the meaning of the ontological concepts.
