Haciendo realidad el seguro conectado

Abstract

En este proyecto en primer lugar se llevará a cabo una severa investigación sobre el estado actual de las distintas tecnologías que conforman la denominada como “Industria 4.0”, aportando una definición de lo que implican, el alcance y algunos ejemplos de aplicaciones reales. El “Internet of things” o “IoT” será la tecnología en la que se hará un estudio más detallado, mediante una completa investigación de en qué consiste exactamente, así como lo que lo caracteriza, el potencial que tiene, los avances y la progresión que está sufriendo esta tecnología. Además, se hará una recopilación de la legislatura existente en la actualidad que pueda repercutir en los productos que usen el IoT. Posteriormente se procederá a evaluar el impacto que podría tener la implementación de esta tecnología dentro del sector de los seguros, para ello, en primer lugar, se va a realizar un estudio de mercado en el que se analizará el nivel de madurez en el sector, identificando el grado de aplicación de esta tecnología y empresas que ya han adaptado sus productos para su implementación. A partir de la información obtenida, se realizará un caso de uso en el que se involucran los tres grandes tipos de seguro (Vehículo, salud y hogar), para una posible aplicación real en el mercado.

In this project in the first place a severe investigation will be carried out on the current state of the different technologies that conform the "Industry 4.0", giving a definition of what it implies, the scope and some examples of real applications. The "Internet of things" or "IoT" will be the technology in which a more detailed study will be made, through a thorough investigation of what exactly it consists of, as well as what characterizes it, the potential it has, the advances and the progression of this technology. In addition, a compilation of the existing legislature orientated to IoT products. Subsequently, the impact that the implementation of this technology could have within the insurance sector will be evaluated, for which, firstly, a market study will be carried out in which the level of maturity in the sector will be analysed, identifying the degree of application of this technology and naming some companies that have already adapted their products to involve the Internet of Things. Based on the information obtained, a case of use will be made in which the three major types of insurance (vehicle, health and home) are involved, for a possible real application in the market.
