Abstract
En el presente trabajo final de master (TFM) se expone un análisis cuantitativo de los mercados financieros en momentos de estrés originados por eventos extremos. Se intenta explicar como un evento inesperado (Cines negro) puede afectar a las bolsas de todo el mundo. El análisis se centra en cinco atentados terroristas, comenzando con el ataque a las torres gemelas el 11 de septiembre de 2001, y concluyendo con los atentados sucedidos en Reino Unido entre mayo y junio de 2017, abarcando de esta manera un periodo largo de tiempo y una diversidad de atentados con similitudes y diferencias. In the present final master´s project a quantitative analysis of the financial markets is exposed in moments of stress originated by extreme events. It tries to explain how an unexpected event (Black swans) can affect the stock markets all over the world. The analysis focuses on five terrorist attacks, beginning with the attack on the twin towers on 11 September 2001, and concluding with the attacks in the UK between May and June 2017, covering a long period of time and a diversity of attentive with similarities and differences.
