El paradigma eclesiológico joánico : Jn 21 como relectura del mensaje del evangelio

Abstract

Varios exégetas contemporáneos llaman la atención sobre la necesidad de reconsiderar el estatus y la función del capítulo “21” del cuarto evangelio con respecto al cuerpo del relato (Jn 1-20), ya que hasta ahora el consenso mayoritario de la crítica lo ha tenido como un añadido o apéndice de carácter secundario. Sin embargo, desde una perspectiva sincrónica, Jn 21 lleva a término aspectos clave que habían quedado pendientes en la trama literaria del evangelio: el desemboque del camino de discipulado de Simón Pedro y el discípulo amado, el reconocimiento del Resucitado en el tiempo post-pascual, la puesta en práctica de la misión después del envío misionero, la promesa de vida eterna para quien come del pan que Jesús va a dar (su carne), la relación entre creer y amar, discipulado y amor, los encargos eclesiales. Dichos aspectos atañen al tema eclesiológico. Por otra parte, desde el punto de vista diacrónico, Jn 21, en su seria consideración como epílogo del evangelio, representa una etapa diferente con relación al desarrollo anterior, así como una toma de postura que recontextualiza el mensaje del evangelio, preponderantemente cristológico, a partir de la perspectiva eclesiológica. Tal proceso de “relectura” ha dado como resultado la original propuesta del paradigma eclesiológico que emerge del evangelio.

Various contemporary exegetes draw attention to the need for a reconsideration of the status and function of chapter "21" of the Fourth Gospel and its relation to the body of the story (John 1-20). It has often been considered an addition or appendix of a secondary nature. However, from synchronic point of view, John 21 concludes unresolved issues in the literary plot of the Gospel, such as the resolution of discipleship process for Simon Peter and the Beloved Disciple, the recognition of the Risen Lord in the post-Easter period, the implementation of the mission of the disciples by Jesus, the promise of eternal life for all those to whom Jesus will give the bread (his flesh), the relationships between believing and loving, discipleship and love, and the church. All these aspects are associated with the theme of the church. When John 21 is seriously considering from a diachronic point of view, it may feature as the epilogue of the Gospel, representing a different stage in relation to the earlier development of the Gospel, and bringing a new perspective to the message of the Gospel as a whole. John 21 shifts from a christological emphasis to an ecclesiological emphasis. Such a “re-reading” thows into greater light the ecclesiological paradigm of the fourth Gospel.
