FACTORES DE ÉXITO DE LAS EMPRESAS FAMILIARES EN ESPAÑA

Abstract

La empresa familiar constituye la forma de gobierno mayoritaria en nuestro país. La importancia de este tipo de negocios para la economía es grande, tanto por su aportación al crecimiento como a la sociedad. Entender el funcionamiento de la empresa familiar supone entender cómo funcionan la mayoría de empresas de nuestro país. El presente trabajo se centrará en cómo las empresas familiares han respondido a la crisis financiera del año 2007, viendo la evolución de su estructura y política financiera hasta nuestros días. Esto permitirá obtener una visión de los factores de éxito de la empresa familiar desde una perspectiva financiera. Para ello, se realizará un análisis financiero y estadístico de las empresas familiares frente a las no familiares, para extraer conclusiones acerca de las causas de su éxito. Los resultados del análisis indican que la forma de gobierno de la empresa familiar, a través de su perspectiva a largo plazo para asegurar la continuidad del negocio, hace que este tipo de compañías cuenten con una estructura financiera más fuerte que hace gocen de una mayor estabilidad en períodos de dificultades a nivel económico y empresarial. Esto hace que la empresa familiar posea unas mayores capacidades para seguir con su negocio y atender sus obligaciones, lo que además hace que sea considerada como una opción más estable de inversión.

The family business constitutes the majority form of government in our country. The importance of this type of business for the economy is great, because of its contribution to growth and society. Understanding the performance of the family business in Spain means understanding how the majority of the companies in our country work. The present work will focus on how family businesses have responded to the financial crisis of 2007, looking at the evolution of its structure and financial policy until today. This will allow to obtain a vision of the success factors of the family business from a financial perspective. To do this, a financial and statistical analysis of family businesses will be carried out in front of non-family companies, in order to obtain conclusions about the causes of their success. The results of the analysis show that the form of government of the family business, through its long-term perspective to ensure the continuity of the business, makes this type of companies have a stronger financial structure that makes them enjoy greater stability in periods of economic and business difficulties. This means that the family business has greater capabilities to continue with its business and meet its obligations, which also makes it considered a more stable investment option.
