Los fondos chinos en África subsahariana : distribución e impacto

Abstract

Las relaciones comerciales y diplomáticas entre China y África se han intensificado notablemente durante las ultimas décadas. Las condiciones del continente africano y en concreto la zona subsahariana, ofrecen oportunidades de inversión con rentabilidades difíciles de lograr en otras regiones, lo que ha propiciado un desplazamiento de fondos sin precedentes que mayoritariamente se han destinado al desarrollo de infraestructura de transporte y energía, sectores clave para el desarrollo socioeconómico africano. Tras analizar la situación individual de Nigeria, Kenia, Angola, Etiopía y Sudáfrica se observa un enfoque acertado de la política de inversión china pero que no basta para que estos estados se sobrepongan a sus problemas principales.

Trade and diplomatic relations between China and Africa have very much intensified during the last decades. The conditions of the African continent and in particular the sub-Saharan region offer investment opportunities with returns that are unlikely to happen elsewhere. Consequently, vast amounts of funding have been sent focusing on the development of energy and transport infrastructure, key sectors for African socio-economic development. After analyzing the individual situation of Nigeria, Kenya, Angola, Ethiopia and South Africa, a correct approach to investment policy in China is observed, but it is not enough to face the main problems of these states.
