La acogida en España de los niños refugiados

Abstract

Un equipo de investigadores de la Cátedra Santander de Derecho y Menores de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas - ICADE elaboró para UNICEF Comité Español un informe sobre el sistema de acogida a los refugiados en España desde la perspectiva de los derechos del niño como son entendidos por la Convención de 1989. Este estudio permite concluir que los niños son invisibles para el sistema de acogida. A la luz del interés superior del niño se exponen contenidos y recomendaciones como las dificultades de identificación que afectan tanto a los niños que llegan solos como a los que se encuentran acompañados por sus familiares, las dificultades para una participación real de los niños en las decisiones sobre su vida, la atención a sus necesidades básicas o el espejismo de la integración.

A team of researchers from the Santander Chair of Law and Minors of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas - ICADE prepared for UNICEF Spanish Committee a report on the refugee reception system in Spain from the perspective of the rights of the child as understood by the Convention Of 1989. This study concludes that children are invisible to the host system. In the light of the best interests of the child, contents and recommendations are presented, such as the difficulties of identification that affect both children arriving alone and those accompanied by their families, difficulties in the real participation of children in decisions on their life, attention to their basic needs or the illusion of integration
