Social inclusion and justice in B. R. Ambedkar s modern India

Abstract

Esta comunicación analiza la crítica de B. R. Ambedkar, líder dalit y presidente de la Asamblea Constituyente tras la independencia de la India, a la visión de justicia social del nacionalismo oficialista del Partido del Congreso, el cual dominó el devenir político del país en sus primeras décadas de andadura postcolonial.

This paper analyses the question of exclusion in modern India, through an analysis of the concept of communalism in Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar s political writings (1891-1956). Ambedkar was a leader of the dalit (Untouchables) movement, President of the Constitution Drafting Committee of India as well as the first Justice Minister of independent India.
