La tauromaquia como valor cultural y medioambiental. Una aproximación comparada.

Abstract

El acoso de los antitaurinos fuertemente organizado en España y otros países europeos ha saltado a la América taurina española. Se ha globalizado. En Francia y España a pesar de los ataques se ha acudido al derecho y se ha trasladado la regulación jurídica de la tauromaquia desde el orden público a un tema de patrimonio cultural inmaterial, con legislación especial al efecto. Se está usando como argumento antitaurino el tema del impacto sobre el medio ambiente. Aducimos que esa afirmación no es cierta, con apoyo en opiniones de especialistas ambientalistas, juristas y filósofos. Se analiza una reciente decisión judicial en Venezuela sobre el tema.
