Abstract

Cada vez más, y cada vez antes, los menores acceden a las nuevas tecnologías. La reciente era digital ha provocado que como sociedad no estemos preparados para hacer frente a este gran crecimiento. El número de ataques digitales ha aumentado, así como las distintas estrategias utilizadas. Es evidente la necesidad de hacer frente a estas amenazas y por ello es necesario investigar las herramientas de defensa y los recursos más adecuados para ello. La importancia de reducir el número de ataques, de proteger a un sector de la población tan vulnerable y de enseñar en el uso y manejo de esta nueva forma de comunicación es vital. En este estudio se presenta un recorrido sobre el crecimiento y el impacto de estos nuevos dispositivos conectados, se hace un análisis de los principales problemas de seguridad que hay y de las soluciones aportadas desde la ingeniería e informática pero también desde una mirada más psicológica, donde, a través de la ingeniería social, se propone el ajuste de la tecnología a cada individuo.

Increasingly, and ever earlier, children are gaining access to new technologies. The recent digital age, has meant that we as a society are not prepared to cope with this huge growth. The number of digital attacks has increased, and the different strategies used too. It is clear that these threats need to be addressed, and that is why the appropriate defence tools and sources need to be explored. The importance of reducing the number of attacks, protecting such a vulnerable segment of the population, and teaching how to use and manage this new form of communication is vital. This study presents an overview of the growth and impact of these new connected devices, an analysis of the main security problems that exist and of the solutions provided from engineering and Computer Science, but also from a more psychological perspective, where, through social engineering, the adjustment of technology to each individual is proposed.
