La sucesión testada e intestada en Roma

Abstract

A día de hoy, el Derecho sucesorio en la antigua Roma continúa siendo objeto de estudio por múltiples juristas debido a la complejidad del mismo. Desde el sistema sucesorio del ius civile, hasta la famosa y aclamada codificación justinianea, los distintos regímenes del fenómeno sucesorio mortis causa han sufrido importantes reformas, tanto en su manifestación ab intestato como en su manifestación testamentaria. El presente trabajo de fin de grado se dirige al análisis del fenómeno sucesorio en la antigua Roma en sus dos principales manifestaciones: la sucesión ab intestato y sucesión testamentaria.

Nowadays, the Law of succession in ancient Rome continues to be the subject of study by many jurists due to its complexity. From the succession system of the ius civile to the famous and acclaimed Justinian codification, the different regimes of the phenomenon of succession mortis causa have undergone important reforms, both in its intestate and testamentary manifestations. This thesis is aimed at analysing the phenomenon of succession in ancient Rome in its two main manifestations: ab intestato succession and testamentary succession.
