Estilo de Aprendizaje Activo en los libros de texto de matemáticas

Abstract

El estudio que presentamos se engloba dentro de una investigación que pretende identificar el tratamiento que reciben los distintos Estilos de Aprendizaje en los libros de texto de matemáticas. Debido a que las formas actuales de considerar el aprendizaje en matemáticas abogan por el empleo de métodos de enseñanza que favorezcan y promuevan el Estilo Activo, se ha seleccionado una de las características principales más representativas de este Estilo: la preferencia por el trabajo en grupo frente al trabajo en solitario. Se ha analizado si el trabajo que promueven las actividades propuestas en los libros de texto de la Educación Primaria es de tipo individual o si es de tipo colaborativo y se ha comprobado que menos del 2% de las 2592 actividades analizadas requieren la agrupación del alumno con otros compañeros para realizar alguna tarea matemática como comparar resultados o pensar otros modo de resolver el problema.

The study that we present is part of an investigation that aims to identify the treatment received by the different Learning Styles in mathematics textbooks. Because current ways of considering learning in mathematics advocate the use of teaching methods that favor and promote the Active Style, one of the main characteristics most representative of this Style has been selected: the preference for group work over to work alone. It has been analyzed whether the work promoted by the activities proposed in the Primary Education textbooks is individual or collaborative and it has been found that less than 2% of the 2592 activities analyzed require the grouping of the student with other classmates to carry out a mathematical task such as comparing results or thinking about another way to solve the problem.
