TRABAJO SOCIAL EN GRUPO EN EL ÁREA DE PALIATIVOS HOSPITALARIOS

Abstract

El trabajo que se presenta a continuación consta de dos partes, primero de un marco teórico donde se habla sobre el trabajo social de grupo, el trabajo social hospitalario, los cuidados paliativos y el duelo. Y la segunda parte que relaciona este marco teórico con un proyecto de intervención social.

Primero de todo, se define que es el trabajo social de grupo, tanto qué es, como sus fases, funciones, etc. También se delimita de forma más concreta las funciones de un trabajador social en el ámbito hospitalario. Así como qué se entiende por: muerte, duelo y cuidados paliativos.

Finalmente se desarrolla un proyecto de intervención para realizar un trabajo social de grupo con familiares de personas que se encuentren en la unidad de paliativos hospitalarios, con el objetivo de conseguir un duelo adaptativo y no se convierta en un duelo complicado.

The work presented below consists of two parts. First, a theoretical framework composed of the social work whit groups, the hospital social work, the palliative care and grief. The second part of the work relates this theoretical framework to a social intervention project.

First of all, the work will be defining what is the social work with groups, its phases, its functions, etc. It also defines specifically the functions of a social worker in hospital settings, as well as what is meant by death, grief, and palliative care.

Finally, an intervention project is developed to carry out a social work group with relatives of people who are in a hospital’s palliative unit; with the objective of achieving an adaptive grief and preventing it from becoming a complicated grief.
