Covid-19: los contratos hay que cumplirlos, también en tiempos extraordinario

Abstract

La seguridad jurídica es un elemento esencial del Derecho, hasta el punto de que, sin ella, no hay un sistema jurídico digno de tal nombre. Sin embargo, sorprendentemente, estamos escuchando muchas valoraciones, todas en la misma línea, realizadas por responsables políticos, empresariales e incluso académicos: las normas del Derecho parecen estar hechas para situaciones de normalidad y, cuando todo es excepcional, podemos y debemos saltárnoslas.

Legal certainty is an essential element of law, to the point that, without it, there is no legal system worthy of the name. However, surprisingly, we are hearing many evaluations, all in the same line, made by political, business and even academic leaders: the rules of law seem to be made for situations of normality and, when everything is exceptional, we can and must skip them.
