The impact of artificial intelligence in the spanish agri-food sector : analyzing the Degree of Adaptation of Workers to this New Reality
Resumen
This work will study the impact caused by Artificial Intelligence on the Spanish agri-food
sector. The three sub-sectors studied will be livestock, agriculture and fishing.
In the first part of the work you will find the Literature Review, where I have written the
information that was documented today about the research topic. I have divided it into several
sections as will be seen in the index. I have started analysing the concept of Artificial
Intelligence. Later, little by little I have been introducing the agri-food sector with numerical
and qualitative data, about the workers in each sector, representation and importance of the
sectors in reference to the National GDP, and other important nuances.
I have also highlighted some of the most used technological devices in each of the sectors,
and finally I have introduced the main effects of the arrival of AI on workers in the Spanish
agri-food sector.
Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to carry out an exhaustive investigation into the
opinions of the workers of five companies in each sector. Firstly, I have indicated where I
have obtained the data and in what way (Methodology), and then I have been able to analyse
the different possible reasons for the answers found. Some results I expected more than
others ... Within this section I have included in parallel my greatest discoveries.
Finally, I have summarized in the last two sections (Recommendations and Conclusions) my
feelings and findings of the research project. The replacement of jobs affects all sectors
worldwide nowadays, and thanks to this research we can get a closer look at the real situation
of this dilemma.
