ECONOMÍA CIRCULAR EN EL SECTOR VITIVINÍCOLA ESPAÑOL - Lara Pereda, Lucía Luisa
Abstract
This Final Degree Project analyzes how the principles of the Circular Economy are being incorporated in the Spanish wine sector, an issue that, in the current context of climate emergency, takes on special relevance. To do this, projects that are currently being developed in Spain, and that pursue circularity in each of the links that make up the wine value chain, are exposed. Previously, a theoretical-introductory framework is offered on the Circular Economy and its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030.
After examining the case under study, it is concluded that, although there are interesting circular proposals in the sector, their incorporation in viticulture farmlands and wineries is, for the moment, anecdotal. Lack of awareness in the traditional rural world and insufficient funding, among other factors, hinder the development of large-scale circular viticulture in Spain. However, although traditional practices continue to predominate (polluting for the most part), the unstoppable - and inevitable - advance of the Circular Economy at a global level, drives our country in its transition towards the new sustainability model.
