No existe ni puede existir una filosofía de la historia, pero sí hay y es absolutamente preciso que haya teología de la historia. There is not and cannot be a philosophy of history, but there is and it is absolutely necessary that there be a theology of history. In other words: history is eloquent with respect to the divine, but hardly with respect to the human individual. The foundation of this thesis is found in the meditation on evil.
